Developer Lab
Privacy Policy
This policy explains which personal data Developer Lab processes when you visit developerlab.nl or send us an email, why we do that, and which rights you have. In short: the site has no accounts, no forms, no analytics, and no tracking.
Who is responsible
The controller for the processing described here is Developerlab (eenmanszaak), registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 70454140, VAT number NL002323188B22.
Address: Duinbeek 48, 8226 RK Lelystad, the Netherlands. Email: info@developerlab.nl. Contact person: Puya Sarmidani.
What this site does not do
- No accounts, logins, or member areas.
- No contact forms and no newsletter. You reach us by email.
- No analytics, advertising, or tracking scripts, and no social media plugins.
- No cookies, and no local or session storage in your browser. The Cookie Policy has the details.
- No fonts, scripts, or images loaded from other parties. Everything is served from this site.
Server logs
When your browser requests a page, the web server that hosts this site writes a standard log line with your IP address, the date and time, the page requested, and the user agent your browser sends (the browser and operating system).
We use these logs only to keep the site secure and running, for example to spot abuse or find the cause of an error. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The logs are kept for at most 30 days and then deleted.
When you email us
If you write to info@developerlab.nl, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you write. We use it only to reply to you and, if it leads to work, for the agreement and our administration.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering messages (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), or taking steps at your request before an agreement and performing that agreement (Article 6(1)(b)). For records the law requires us to keep, such as invoices, the basis is a legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).
We keep emails as long as needed for the conversation and our administration. Records that Dutch tax law requires us to keep are kept for the statutory period of seven years.
Who receives the data
We do not sell personal data and do not share it for marketing. Two kinds of service providers process data on our behalf, under a processing agreement:
- The hosting provider of the server this site runs on (Hetzner, in Germany). The server and its logs are there.
- Our email provider, which receives and stores email sent to info@developerlab.nl.
We only give data to others when the law requires it.
Where the data stays
The site runs on our own server at Hetzner in Germany. We do not transfer personal data from this website to countries outside the European Economic Area.
How long we keep it
- Server logs: at most 30 days.
- Emails: as long as needed for the conversation and our administration, and seven years for records the law requires us to keep.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have incorrect data corrected (rectification);
- have your data erased;
- have the processing restricted;
- object to processing that is based on our legitimate interest;
- receive your data in a common, machine-readable format, or have it sent to someone else (portability).
To use one of these rights, email info@developerlab.nl. We reply within one month. We may ask you to confirm who you are before we act on a request, so that your data does not end up with someone else.
Complaints
If you think we handle your data incorrectly, you can lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens: autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl. We would like to hear from you first, so we can try to put it right.
Changes
We update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date below shows the current version.
