Keycloak in one place
Keycloak fits when people sign in to more than one app. One login, the roles you already have, and no second password to invent.
We put Keycloak in front of the apps that need it, and we leave the ones that should stay separate alone. The user directory you have is the starting point.
When it fits
- People sign in to more than one app.
- Each app keeps its own users and roles.
- People are asked to register twice.
How the work goes
- We map who logs in, which app they open next, and which roles matter.
- Realms, clients, and redirects are drawn from that map, not from a default tutorial.
- The first app moves with a fallback to the old login until a real user has passed through.
- Session length, logout, and the admin console are part of the handover.
Example: sign in once
One session
Three apps, three passwords, until the sign-in is shared. Press the button.
- Shop
- Admin
- API
What you receive
- One sign-in for the apps that should share it
- Roles carried over, with a note on what changed
- An admin path the team can use without us in the room
How to start
